I’ve seen this happen to all of my friends who are “nice guys.” They’re attracted to a girl, but they try to build a friendship with her FIRST because they are afraid of getting rejected.
Well, the guy just winds up getting stuck in the Friend Zone — playing the role of her “best guy friend” while secretly praying that he gets the chance to turn her from friend to girlfriend.
But this almost never happens. When you’re stuck deep in the Friend Zone with a girl you like, she will find it totally creepy if you try to make a move on her — or if you confess your “true feelings” to her after consuming a few too many drinks.
There are two reasons why a girl is NOT going to hook up with a guy who’s been in the friend zone with her for a long time:
1. She isn’t attracted to him in “that way.” Why? Because he’s completely non-sexual, predictable, and always available to her. It’s obvious that this guy is not getting sex from any women, which makes her think “he’s a sweet guy…but he’s sort of a loser.”
When a woman has a “guy best friend,” and she knows the guy isn’t getting laid and has a lame social life other than hanging out with her, she has zero respect for him. She might enjoy sharing her problems with him, but she is completely turned off by him in a sexual sense.
Nine times out of ten, this pathetic friend zone relationship eventually falls apart because she MOVES ON. She winds up hooking up with a “bad boy” who is confident, independent, and exudes MASCULINE energy.
Then, the friend zone guy bitches and moans, “what’s she doing with that asshole? He’s all wrong for her! I’d be the right boyfriend for her!”
But it’s too late. As a woman, she has needs. And the friend zone guy is never going to fulfill those needs.
